Makes 4-8 Servings


Ingredients:

  • 1 Carton Drake's Cakes Coffee Cakes
    1 1/2 Cups of Canned Apple Pie Filling
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, Softened
  • 2 tbsp Prepared Apple Cider, follow directions on pack
  • 1 tbsp Dry Apple Cider Mix
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • Fresh Apple Slices, garnish
  • Cinnamon, garnish


Supplies:

  • 1M Piping Tip, optional
  • Disposable Piping Bag, optional

Directions:   

  1. First dice the apples in the apple pie filling.
  2. Next unwrap the Coffee Cakes and place the apples coated in filling on top of the coffee cake.
  3. Prepare apple cider according to package instructions, let cool completely.
  4. For the frosting, with a hand or stand mixer, mix the softened butter with the prepared apple cider and vanilla extract. Then add the dry apple cider and mix well. Slowly mix in the powdered sugar until thoroughly incorporated.
  5. Now pipe on the frosting using a 1M piping tip
  6. Decorate with an apple slice and ground cinnamon if desired.
